After having debated:
a) In opposition to Nanotechnology,
b) As the proposition for research and healthcare funding being aloocated in a population dependent manner, even for serious rare diseases,
c) In opposition to embryonic stem cell research,
and
d) In opposition to Genetically Modified Foods as a significant benefit to human health at present,
Myself, my fellow speaker (new one for the last round) and our wonderful research team won the Leinster Science Debating Championships! We will now be against Ulster, and are inordinately happy!! On the other hand, we're now pro-embryonic stem cells and possibly pro-animal testing. :P Wish us luck!!
